RIDER REVIEWS

Motorcycles were never a significant part of my life—until I discovered Jocelin. I came across her videos on YouTube, and her riding skills left me in awe. Watching a 1.55m lady rider effortlessly handle a 600-pound bike with such grace and precision was truly breathtaking. Intrigued, I reached out to her on Facebook, and a few months later, I found myself at my first training session with her. Jocelin explained that her training was all about confidence. At the time, it seemed like an odd concept, but now I understand—riding begins and ends with confidence. Skills can be developed through practice and persistence, but confidence is much harder to build, and even harder to find. Her training starts with seemingly simple drills, gradually progressing to more challenging ones. Each exercise was new to me—exciting, different, and engaging. Every step of the way, Jocelin took the time to explain the theory behind each movement, demonstrating why and how it worked. No matter how difficult a challenge seemed, she was always there, encouraging and supporting me, believing in my abilities even when I doubted myself. By the end of the first day, I was accomplishing things I never thought possible. Since that training, I’ve taken many more classes, but the confidence I gained in those two days remains the foundation of my riding. I left feeling inspired, eager to learn more, and ready to push my limits. Jocelin didn’t just teach me techniques—she ignited a passion for learning and showed me that I can do it. And for that, I am endlessly grateful.

I took Jocelin’s West Coast Adventure Riding class In October, and let me start by saying “wow, just wow!” I’ve been riding dirt for 50 years, and street for 45, so I figured it might just be a fun weekend. I had no expectations coming to the class, except perhaps be a bit more comfortable on a heavy bike in the dirt. Jocelin’s method requires one to check their attitude and preconceptions at the gate, which was easy for me, as my head is mostly empty anyway. Jocelin has probably forgotten more about tossing around a big bike than I will ever know, but I left Snow Ranch with a huge amount of love in my heart, respect for the process and an unfathomable increase in the comfort on the bike. Take the course, it will change your riding life. Go further, longer! Thanks Jocelin and Steve (great coach, great cook!) for one of the best weekends of my life – both in terms of fun and in terms of the most improvement in my riding style.

We can live our entire lives limiting ourselves. I spent 15 years riding all over the world on smaller bikes because I felt that because I am just 5’2” 110lbs, I didn’t have the capability to ride taller, more capable bikes. Then I took your training at Snow Ranch, and this changed my life! I am forever grateful!

Thank you Jocelin and Team for all the love motivation and push. You have exceeded my expectations and any training I have been before. Jocelin’s strength is her personal touch with the trainees.

Jocelin’s course is amazing. I’ve been riding motorcycles for 40 years, and the first 6 hours of this course she taught me things that will change my riding forever. Her process is amazing. She takes you from the beginning fundamentals of riding and explains it in a way you can understand it, where it makes sense. She has a way of working on the stuff between your ears, and it sticks with you. So when you come across an obstacle, you realize that the little techniques she taught you in class will help you through, and handle it with confidence.

It’s an amazing school, I have never seen anything like that before. What I appreciate is the approach they take, particularly with mental preparedness. I am really amazed and looking forward to applying all these new skills to my riding. Would love to get back this fall again.

This two-day training camp has been really eye opening to see some of the basic techniques that I had been ignoring for over 40 years of riding. The level of coaching is really high. I felt it was a big confidence booster too. I am a huge fan and anyone considering signing up for this training, I can tell you it’s well worth it

I have been riding bikes all my life, and about a year or so into off road riding. I have done a few trainings and I have got to say that this one really blew me away. What really made a difference was how the coaches took the time and the interest to build you up piece by piece. There is a right way to ride on dirt, but I don’t know if there’s a right way to coach, and every coach is different, but these guys really care. They made it work, they made it click, and just makes me proud and happy! Five star, highly recommended.

I just finished Jocelin’s training and for the last 10 years I have been in my head and not been able to do a lot of things well. She was able to help with a lot of things like breathing and relaxing. After a couple days I was doing hairpin turns like I’ve never done before. It’s all because she focuses on the mind. She and her team are awesome!

I have been only been riding motorcycles, ANY motorcycles for about 17 hours. I went to Jocelin’s crazy little ranch and the first bike I learned to ride on was a BMW 1200GSA. I am not the biggest guy in the world, and Jocelin taught me how to ride this bike as if it were mine, as if I owned it, as if it did everything I told it to do. She taught me so well and so efficiently! She has a way with students that is profound. She got through to me easily and quickly. These big bikes used to scare me, and I am leaving here after just a couple days of training with her and Steve with loads of confidence. I couldn’t recommend this training enough, honestly. One of the best weekends I’ve ever had.

Coming in day one, I had no idea what to expect, and now I am riding a big bike with confidence! Snow Ranch is the perfect place to learn safely. It’s a lot of fun.

- Benji Barnes from Hawaii

It’s been almost a year since my training at Snow Ranch. Since then, I have gone into my rides with a totally different outlook compared to the riding I did before the training. I have been able to tackle more difficult terrain than I would have thought to do a year ago.

– Megan Lundgreen, Oklahoma

It’s been an amazing experience! When I got to the training camp I did not know what to expect. Obviously, her reputation proceeds her. Years back I was told that if I want to be smart and safe, then I need to have both feet on the ground. I used to lower my bikes, shave the seats, wear high boots, and do what I could to lower my bikes but I still couldn’t get both feet to touch the ground. So I stopped riding. Later, I watched Jocelin’s YouTube videos, and saw that it was possible. I appreciate that she has so much passion about teaching others about it. So I went to her training, and now I am riding a BMW 1250 GS at the standard height! Now I have these techniques that I am using in my riding, and now I feel like I can approach any bike I want, no more limits.

- Christine Speirs from Hawaii

Just wanted to say thanks for allowing me to participate in your training. I learned a lot and am confident it will not only improve my adventure bike riding but also transfer over to my other riding endeavors. I really like your training program and yes it all made sense in the end. Thanks for being patient with us crusty old guys that can sometimes be a little tougher to teach but we get it sooner or later. You have a great training venue and I hope to be able to come ride it again.

- Keith Caldwell, Vacaville, CA

This past weekend was so fun! Jocelin and her team have great energy, and they care about the outcome or what the students do, and they put in the work to get riders to drastically improve. It shows and it makes a difference, so thank you!

- Franz Simmons

I absolutely loved Jocelin’s training and her unique methods of building confidence and skill. Her skilled coaching and super supportive assistants made it possible to succeed at challenges that seemed initially above my skill level. And there were a lot of challenges! And best of all, she made it all so much fun!

- Anja Seitz, Santa Rosa, CA

I’ve taken over 20 courses over 9 years of riding and Jocelin’s course is probably my favorite. Not only does her teaching style lend you to learn so quickly, the course set up doesn’t feel like a bunch of drills, it feels like a playground for adventure riders. It’s a beautiful facility, you’ll have so much fun, and learn so much. Highly recommend it!
